Information about the project and its activities

On 22 December 2009, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs signed a grant decision within the Operational Programme Human resources and employment, to sponsor the project "Building the ha-vel trade, managerial and vocational academy to gain competitiveness on the Czech IT and telecommunications services market by developing and sustaining the top quality of its human resources."

The aim of the project is to build and implement comprehensive systematic training of the employees of the company ha-vel internet s.r.o. viewed within the context of its own ha-vel Business, professional, and managerial academy, which will focus on the development of soft skills as well as on the development of technical and vocational education and training courses. ha-vel internet s.r.o. is a small and purely Czech company, which has been operating on the IT and telecommunication market for over 13 years. In 2005, the company went through a restructuring programme aiming to set down new rules and control processes, increase efficiency and improve the market position by targeting promising new segments.

The backbone and key factor affecting the success of the company on the IT and telecommunications market is the high quality and cutting edge know-how of its employees, both in sales and in programming or technical jobs. This is closely linked to the need for permanent education and the pursuit of new technology trends, the acquisition of state-of-the-art technology and software associated with a number of costly training programmes and courses. In order to maintain its market position, now stressed by the challenging economic recession, ha-vel internet s.r.o. has been forced to streamline internal processes by modifying the education programme to make it comprehensive, generate value added, build on available skills and the quality of its staff, motivate them, stop staff fluctuations and brain drain (the IT market is volatile, which is costly), and to use innovative elements in education.

This, the company decided to build 3 academies as part of the project, these being: the Business Academy, aimed at the development of trade and purchase, the Management Academy, aimed at the development of middle and top management, and the Vocational Training Academy, aimed at the development of technical department staff.
